Banksy is called the “most pursued person in the world of art”. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine irreverent dark humour with graffiti done in a distinctive stencilling technique. Such artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world. He managed to leave some of his works in the galleries of Tate Modern, New York Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, British Museum and American Museum of Natural History.
The world premiere of his film Exit Through the Gift Shop occurred at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, on 24 January. He created 10 street pieces around Park City and Salt Lake City to tie in with the screening. The latest public display of his work was the intro to The Simpsons. Fortunately, some people do. A small building in London tripled in price after Banksy's stencils were found on it.
