Katie Holmes first filed for divorce from Tom Cruise on June 28 after five years of marriage together. After a few weeks of negotiations, the two have reportedly agreed on a settlement! In a joint statement the ex-to-be spouses say:
"We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents."
It looks like from the statement that Katie got sole custody of Suri. Another source, speaking to Radar, also revealed that Suri will remain with Katie in New York, where they’re currently living, and will be accompanied by her own nanny and team of bodyguards when she visits father Tom on weekly occasions. Good on you, Katie!
