men wear heels, stockings and tights.. what are we, women, supposed to wear then?
do you think it's ok for women and men to swap fashion standards???
Women have taken almost everything that man has ever started in clothing. The only thing you have allowed men to keep is jeans, t-shirts, and suits. Not like women have not been wearing those too though. The only reason they do not tell the world we are gay for wearing those items is because men would have to roam around naked. So what choice do men have but to do what they want and let closed minded people think what they want? Aside from looking like every other man in the country that is. Get over it, they are cloths and it is not like men were not wearing high heels, tights, and and even skirts throughout time. Men wore high heels before women ever did, don't believe me? Do some research on the topic. Pants were never worn until they were needed for riding horses all the time, and that was by MEN ONLY. Women got all pissed and wanted to wear pants too, find a man wearing a kilt or skirt and what is your thought? "How GAAAAYYY is he? I am a women so I can dress I want and where what I want and you had better not say a single word!" A man is not in his jeans or a suit and what is you only thought? "GAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!" Stop already! Get over your superiority complex and realize that men have individual personalities too. You should also realize that men are getting over living in a vacuum of being plain and having the personality of a flounder so no one will assume we are gay.

Come on, take look at the fashion week runway, there are tons of styles of menswear from chinos to cardigans and whatnot. Marc Jacobs wears kilt and so do many fashionistos around the world. Scottish men wear kilt and no one cares. If you happen to live in a setting where you get labeled for wearing stuff then, well, that's too bad, but please don't take it on a whole group of people, in this case women. It all depends on the background and yes there will always be people who'll label you because you're different but it doesn't mean you need to label them back.

I will say it again take a look at the modern fashion there's kilt, there are skinny jeans, there are tunics, there are wedge boots (Lenny Kravitz pic anyone?), there are many styles in clothing that men and women share.
Quote
Shafted you said it yourself, men can and do wear heels.
Like so what?

Just wanted to let the world know that it is happening. I'm not talking about men's heels here but shoes from the women's rack. I should point out however that this is not about crossdressing, but adding a real heel. I wear them for many reasons. The biggest two are style and confort. Having narrow high arched feet myself a high heel is all about comfort, something that can't be achieved by shopping in the men's section.

What is wrong with the original fashion standards??? That is how every started and it was perfect that way. We have no more clothes left to wear because women are allowed to wear mens fashion as well. Sorry to be the bearer of the news, but us men are going to take back what was once our and recliam everything....In my opinion it was you women fault from the start that caused all of this fashion standards. That's why we as men can only wears pants and a shirt. I think its really boring. You girls have all the fun in life, wear what ever you like, so why cant we??? Explain that one to me in more detail?!!!! Oeps sorry you cant, cause this is a definitive answer. So FYI we are breaking the rules just as you women did in the 1950's by start wearing pants. So I think all you women should just bugger of and leave us guys alone, as we left you alone to change the fashion industry!!!

My motto is Live and let live. When fashion started there wasn't as much standards as we have today, but if women want to maintain standards, so we should start by giving more than a half of our wardrobe back to men.
After all, pants are meant for man as well as oxfords, boots, shirts, shorts, suits, jacket, and so on. I could keep going on and on, but I believe I've made my point.
Now, the question that won´t go away, would we, girls, be willing to give all our stuff away in order to maintain standards, because if men have to, so why shouldn't we?
Are women better than men or vice-versa? No, we're equals in everything. Both can have the same benefits and obligations.
I don't see any problem on what his is wearing, it's just objects put on body, whenever one's home, one can take it all off. It's nothing but things. It's no big deal.

I think this is one of the best replies I've seen in a looong time. See the thing is, women are scared that men will turn gay once they have womens clothing on. No the real man wont, cuase it's only the feeling of the clothing that gives you that sensationable feeling of freedom etc. Now why cant we as men feel that too??? We allowed you women to be free, we give you everything in life, teach you about everything so that if a man dies his women can still live on with the knowledge he gave her. Now why cant we get something in return? Were is the "we all must be equal now?". We too want freedom, just like we gave you the freedom to wear want you want. We wont be leaving our girlfriends or wives just now because we are wearing your clothing. No, we most certainly will not. we love you just to much to leave you. All we are asking (like women did in the 1950's) is to give us our freedom to wear what we want just like you can. We are soooooo tired of our dull colourless hard clothes (just pants and shirts 24/7/365)!!! So we ask of the world please see our plea. Is this really so much to ask for?

Wearing high heels in public requires a great deal of self confidence as a guy. If you carry yourself with confidence people won't give you any crap. Show no weakness and others won't be so quick to point out your preferrd footwear (they may even compliment you on it, I garner compliments from women, men and even teenagers). People will respect your confidence. Believe me I know. I see it all the time when I'm wearing my stilettos.

I'm a 21 year old STRAIGHT Male who LOVES to wear not only high heels, but all forms of "womens" clothing. I do purely because i feel most comfortable dressed that way.
My girlfriend of over 2 years knows and although was hesitant with it at the start (which is understandable) now has gotten to the point were she's buying me heels and dresses and such, after all, it's just clothing, pieces of material that cover our bodies. Who's to say a male or female cannot wear a certain cut or shaped material?
BTW, if any of you reading through this thread think that men wearing high heels is uncommon, THINK AGAIN! there are hundreds of thousands of us in the world, unfortunately, most are too scared to do so in public in fear of ridicule by dimwitted, jock-types who have nothing better to do than judge others for no apparent reason. Expect to see and hear alot more of men in heels and other feminine items, the community of us as a whole is becoming more and more comfortable and confident doing so! Personally if it wasn't for practicality reasons, i'd be wearing heels and a dress every single day!
