Let's discuss the latest trends for Fall 2010.

Fall 2010 makeup trends is all about bold looks. Plum shades, fiery reds, dual-toned eyes, 90′s grunge look with modern twist, and dramatic brows ruled the runway.

Purple Craze

You can apply plum or purple shadow to your eyes or leave them be and try purple or plum lipstick, a hit of the season.

Burning Lips

Red lipstick is all over runway. Choose the shade that enhances your lip color and compliments your skint tone.

Natural beauty
or porcelain doll face

Create a perfect complexion and make contour cheeks to get the most of this trend.

Dramatic eyebrows

If you naturally have wide eyebrows you might want to leave them without much tweezing. Less routine equals trendy look, not bad.

Textured or printed eyelids

To get this look apply Aqua Cream 3 (silver) to lids, creases and brow bones. Blend with Aqua Cream 1 (anthracite) to add more intensity. For the textured look, cut an eye hole our of a piece of paper and hold it over the eye. Dip a toothbrush in cream shadow, and gently flick shadow onto the lids, creases, and brow bones. You can also take a piece of textured cloth like fishnets or lace and use as stencil to create this look.

Blue eyeshadow and two-toned makeup

The smokey eye is now more colorful. Strong but simple. Try the dual toned look! Apply darker tone to the outer corner of the eye and complete with sparkly light shimmer to the inner corner.

Cheeks- The power of a blush and bronzer combined. A bronzer adds definition to the cheekbones while the blush keeps your cheeks glowing.

Fuller lips are also trendy this season. Use feather strokes to outline your lips with the skin-tone lip liner. Start at the lip line and stroke inwards to achieve plummer effect, blend, cover with a sweep of lipstick and add lip-gloss for the ultimate full-lips effect.

Swept-Out Eye Shadow and Stained Lips

Attached Image: Stained lips.jpg

Whether you wear them separately or together, elongated eye shadow and berry-tinted lips are in for fall. Christian Dior can give me a heart attack with their makeup ideas. On the catwalk, models like Siri Tollerød (shown at left) wore an emboldened version of this winning combo, recollecting the makeup style of ‘30s Hollywood star Mae West. I am fainting looking at this photo as it is absolutely gorgeous and exuberant. I don't know what other fancy words could describe the thrill, but i absolutely love the golden-copper shadow combo and berry-stained lips.

Tidy Side-Pony

Attached Image: side pony.jpg

Milly by Michelle Smith has favored the side-pony for two seasons in a row, and it’s no wonder—the hairstyle is preppy yet pretty elegant (like that of Blair Waldorf’s (Leighton Meester) ‘do on Gossip Girl.)

Pompadour Updo

Depicted as masculine, but rather androgynous look by coif-creator Sam Knight, the chic updos at Fendi were Duckie-licious. Nice updo for a party.

Black Latex and Red Lips

The two go hand in hand. Whether strutting Karl Lagerfeld’s runway or purring your way into Batman’s arms or planning to rock a catwoman Halloween costume.

Brushed-Back Pouf

Peggy Bundy’s smoothed-over bouffant may have caused laughs on Married With Children, but it got a glamorous makeover on Nina Ricci’s catwalk, courtesy of mane master Guido Palau. 80s vibe is in the air when i look at this updo, and i'm not the fan of 80s.

Sculpted Pinned-Under Strands

Maybe it was Melanie’s well-structured hairdp that helped her snag Scarlett O’Hara’s beloved Ashley (it sure kept the spotlight at the Loewe show!).

Defined Brows

Madonna’s bold eyebrows and brow-high eye shadow made a statement in the ‘80s as well as on the Elie Saab runway. I like defined brows, but brow-high eye shadow doesn't thrill me much.

’Shroom-Shaped Hair and Snow-White Skin

Edward Scissorhands’ voluminous, disheveled cut got a feminine touch for Chanel’s show, where models wore a softer version. The pale skin and darkened eyes dotting the runway also seemed inspired by the metallic landscaper’s look.

I don't see the dramatic similarities between these two looks, but i definitely like printed eyelids.

Superhigh Pony

Though there were no magic lamps around, towering I Dream of Jeannie–like ponytails swung with models’ every step at Jeremy Scott show.

To me it's too dang severe.

Bombshell Hair and Cat-Eyes

Unleash your inner superhero/sex kitten and embrace the luxurious Barbarella locks and smoky cat-eyes from the Rochas show.

Dunno, just don't get the super-puffy hair thing.

Dramatic Black Eye Makeup

Black mask cream liner is not for everyday wear—or ever, for that matter! But it sure looked fierce on Daryl Hannah in Blade Runner and Natasha Poly at Rick Owens.

This is simply a no-no.
