Im reading Where Rainbows End by Cecilia Ahern. Love the way it is written- in the form of letters, emails, instant messages and newspaper articles. Feels like peeping at very intimate details of somebody's life

Are you aware of the drug references in Alice in Wonderland?

Sure, I think everybody is aware of it, but I believe there are some more hidden ideas in it

I'm reading "The Girl Who Fell From the Sky" by Heidi Durrow. It's a really good read about growing up bi-racial and what not. Won an award back in 2008. I wrote a blog post about it if you want to know more: Read Any Good Books Lately? (on GentlemanREDUX.com)

Well, it's such a strange book that seems to allude to a mental disorder, drug use or something like that, but I believe there's more to it. My personal favorite interpretation to this is that Alice is a confused girl in the middle of adolescences. Her opinions and decisions are being influenced pulled and pushed by the ones she loves which is more confusing when she is so different than her family (and in a good way). She falls down the rabbit hole into a world of madness (which could be representing her falling into the world of drugs and ill willed people) In the end Alice stays trues to herself and learns more about herself and other people. She doesn't stay stuck in the madness and aaawww of wonderland but emerges to reality and uses her new found muchness and opinions in her real life to create herself and be herself in the real world of life. Also there is another crazy idea>>>

I am currently reading "Anthropologist on Mars" by Oliver Sacks. It is a collection of stories from his neurological career. It is fascinating!
