It is not acceptable to pay attention to the person's financial status when you are just about to get into the relationship. Moreover, you will be immediately called a gold digger. But historically women tend to pay attention to the man's income and social status in order to guarantee her children the secure future. So, I don't think that taking into consideration the partner's financial status as a taboo since his financial opportunities demonstrate his personal characteristics such as purposefulness, diligence, high intellect etc. Do you consider being a money-oriented person to be a negative feature?

Is It Ok Being a Money-Oriented Woman? Or one will automatically obtain the status of the Gold Digger?

You seem to have a cognitive dissonance: from one perspective you are money oriented, yet your cultural background (or something that drags you down) doesn't allow it. If you are money oriented, why not?
