What do the celebrity males do when it came to the divorce procedure once they get caught cheating? They all call the experienced divorce attorneys. But in ordinary life men with an average income are not able to afford these “star” attorneys. So, with our simple tips you will learn how to steer clear of a marriage scandal.

Sign a prenup

Statistics is a statistics and it shows that nearly one in two marriages in the world end up with a divorce. So, the prenup will help you to avoid the division of assets and sometimes even the allocation of spousal supports. Therefore there shouldn’t be the questions rising whether you are signing it or not. Don’t consider the prenups only the prerogative of the new riches and celebrities only, nowadays prenups are for everyone. Between 2005 and 2010 there was seen a significant increase of prenuptial agreements according to the study conducted by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyer.

Learn the law

Cheating is illegal in 23 states across US. Even though in majority of states these laws are put aside at the remote shelf and are rarely being used, there are still cases when cheating can affect the spousal support and property division in some states.

One of the main vows of marriage is the faith, but if you are spending money on gifts for your mistress and at the same tine not supporting your children- this information will be definitely significant in court. It can be interpreted like you are able to support your spouse, but instead you prefer not to.

Follow the privacy rules

All the small things like text-messages, receipts of gifts, e-mails, bills could play the bad thing with you. They can become the main evidences in the courtroom. Besides, the public record can also be a fair game in the courtroom.
