Everyone from industry watchers to Apple fanboys are expecting a new iPhone this June. And as always, the rumour mill is working overtime on just what form that new iPhone is supposed to take. Though there’s not much in the way of concrete info, some things pop up again and again on the rumour sites: things like a bigger screen, more powerful A5 processor, CDMA/UMTS/GSM compatibility, and near-field communication (NFC) functionality.
Nobody knows just what’s coming down the pipe, though next month’s expected iPad 2 launch is likely to give us a few hints. But what everybody would like to see is an iPhone with no antenna controversy.
- The iPhone 4 was a step forward in functionality, but a slight step back in design.
- iPhone 5 rumors abound, with everything from Flash to waterproofing being mentioned.
- The iPhone should start incorporating next-gen technology, like wireless charging.
