Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, aka the Olsen twins have been around for their entire life so it's obvious we've seen them go through different phases of their careers, personal lives and style evolution.

The girls, 24, are over their careers as actresses and are full time fashion designers with their clothing lines being quite a success with customers. But when it comes to their personal fashion sense....

the girls' style is really sad, they often wear dark clothes that are always baggy and sometimes quite ridiculous. they're often known for their love of skinny jeans and towering heels, as well as dark sunglasses, hats and extra large bags and totes.

You be the judge but i think the twins' style has dramatically degraged through the years - the way the dress right now is proper for 80 yo grannies rather than fashion-forward 24 yo designers.

the New York Times once declared Mary-Kate a fashion icon for pioneering her signature (and now popular among celebrities and fans alike) "homeless" look. The style, sometimes referred to as "ashcan" or "Boho-chic" or bohemian-bourgeois, is similar to that of Bohemian chic popularized in Britain by Kate Moss and Sienna Miller. The look consists of oversized sunglasses, boots, loose sweaters, and flowing skirts all with an aesthetic of mixing high end pieces with low end.

Mary-Kate and Ashley have a clothing line in Wal-Mart stores across North America for girls ages 4 – 14 as well as a beauty line called "Mary-Kate and Ashley: Real fashion for real girls".

They were tapped as the faces of upscale fashion line Badgley Mischka in 2006, in an attempt to gain credibility in the fashion industry after their association with Wal-Mart.

They have also launched their own new couture fashion label "The Row" named after the famous Savile Row of London. The pair have also started a new line for The Row, entitled "Elizabeth & James", named after their siblings.

i don't understand their style and don't find it beautiful or worth copying. they actually look quite miserablew to me.

i don't like their style at all, but only God knows how, they design great clothing. Their The Row line has been nominated for 2011 CFDA Award. By the way, the Olsen's makeup is usually horrible, too.
