according to a new poll conducted by Fitness magazine, 51% of women would gladly sacrifice a year of having sex if it meant they could be skinny!
Fitness Magazine's Executive Editor Pam O'Brien said: 'These images from TV and movies, actresses - you feel a lot of pressure as a woman to be thin. Women know it's hard to lose weight and keep it off, so they are willing to try things that work quickly - the magic pill idea - like a detox or slimming pill. We all want a quick result. If you stick to a diet that's healthy - around 1,500 calories a day, you'll lose 1-2lb a week. Exercise is also a really important factor. Try to find something you enjoy, whether it's running or spinning. It releases endorphins and also boosts metabolism.'
Fitness that polled 2,400 women, has learnt that 43% of the women admitted to skipping meals regularly in a bid to stay slim, 39% have used crash diets to drop pounds quickly, while 30% have tried celebrity-endorsed diets, such as the baby food diet or juice cleanse detox.
So, while 51% say they'd prefer a skinnier body to sex, others say they'd rather have great sex but get 30 punds overweight.
